Briggs Marine

Briggs Marine Experts

The Client

For nearly half a century Briggs has established a global reputation in the Marine sector.

From vessel charter, diving projects and renewable energy to emergency response and salvage, Briggs know what they are doing and often in the most of challenging of conditions that the seas surrounding Scotland can throw up.

Successfully operating in hazardous environments soon raised Briggs’ profile overseas resulting in involvement in well-publicised environmental operations including the Piper Alpha disaster in 1988, the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska in 1989 and the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion in 2010.

Briggs continues to expand and evolve on the back of their specialist expertise, now working with sizeable offshore wind developers as well as operating the Woolwich Free Ferry on the Thames for Transport for London.

To tell this story to date,  the Briggs Marketing Team began the search for a digital partner to produce a bold, text-light online presentation which reflects the brand's current capabilities and ambitions.

The Solution

Our Brand Discovery session allowed us to grasp their brand values, culture, expertise, target visitors overall vision; the ‘key stuff’ which make all our clients’ digital requirements unique. Following the Discovery phase, we turned our focus to user journeys and goals, helping to organise and prioritise sections and aiming for a simple and visually engaging user experience.

Briggs have conducted high-profile operations in exotic and extreme environments all over the world

With an instantly recognisable brand already in place, combined with strong stories and visual content, our Design and Usability experts then got to work on a user experience that effectively communicates Briggs’ unique strengths; informing and inspiring visitors before encouraging them to get in touch or maintain engagement through social.
